Turquoise :: Stone Clutch & Spring Shoes

by wendy

I can’t wait to share with you what happened yesterday!  I was invited to a blogger party to preview the new B Brian Atwood collection.  His resort line is full of joy!  Gem colors and beautiful shapes decorated the showroom.

The weather in NYC has been mild with a hint of humidity.  To combat the stickiness, I wore a light breathable linen blend tunic to the party last night.  I adore the design of this piece!  It has an unique goddess-like drape in the front and back.

I wanted to highlight the back design by wrapping my belt behind the drape.

I love adding accent colors to an all black outfit.  I’m actually wearing a turquoise skirt underneath the tunic.  As the tunic moves, a surprise pop of color peeks through =)

Throughout Fashion Week, I got the most compliments on this piece.  My stone clutch has been a conversation starter in countless occasions.  From models to bloggers to random strangers, I’ve been stopped many times by curious people asking for more information about this clutch.

Beautiful shoes at the showroom.

After the party, my friends and I wanted to catch a cab back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.  We didn’t realize that hailing a cab on Fifth Avenue at 8 pm on a Wednesday night was nearly impossible.  It was a comedy of errors – we went on the wrong train after many failed attempts to hail a cab, missed empty cabs on the other side of the street, and ended up walking back to the hotel an hour and a half later only to catch a cab a few blocks away.  My bed never looked so good before that night!

Thank you so much for reading!
