Spring Origami :: Structured blazer & Lime dress

by wendy

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!

I had the utmost pleasure of meeting Patricia Chang a few days ago.  We were supposed to get together in February during Fashion Week, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to cross paths.  She is such a talented designer!  With just a rudimentary fashion foundation, Patricia landed an internship at Marchesa and caught the attention of Georgina Chapman herself.  This story just speaks volume of her taste and talent.  After working under Marchesa for a few years, she decided to follow her dreams and start her own line.  This jacket is from her debut collection!  It’s a mix of whimsy and elegance with impeccable tailoring.  I have tremendous admiration for anyone in the arts.  Designing or creating an art piece is truly a labor of love.  You put your heart into something and release it to the world, hoping it will be well received.  And in return, using that positive energy to propel you into the next creation.  But if it’s not received well, using whatever strength you have left to reflect and push forward.  It’s definitely not a path for the faint-hearted.

Thank you so much for reading!
