Weekend Sparkle :: Casual sequin and Candlelight dinner
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far!
I’m heading out to meet my girlfriends for dinner and drinks in a few minutes and just wanted to share with you my casual girls’ night out outfit =)
Last night, Mystery Man accompanied me to a dinner hosted by Max and Lubov Azria of BCBGMAXAZRIA. It was such a honor to meet the Azria family and to be welcomed into their home.
This is one of my favorite items in their estate, and more importantly, it showcases Lubov’s creativity. She took a door that she loved and turned it into a dinning table by plating it under a glass frame. I’m definitely going to steal this idea and scale it down. Maybe applying it to a cabinet door and turning it into a side table.
I love fashion. Playing with patterns, textures, colors, and structures excite me. But nothing gives me more inspiration than seeing a talented humble woman lead a team. Talking to Lubov during dinner was a moment of awakening for me. She stood tall, full of grace and life, chatting about motherhood, design, life philosophy, and Fifty Shades of Grey. She commands the room with her presence and poise, yet disarms everyone with her humility and humor. Lubov reminds me of my friend Soyun of SOYER. Both women possess incredible strength, view life as a journey not a destination, and are tremendously talented. Just thinking about them is a sweet reminder for me to work harder and to always be a student of life.
Thank you so much for reading!
