November 5 
The last few days have been very interesting. We’re still not moved in yet. Due to loads of miscommunication between all parties involved, we couldn’t get into our new place. With our stuff currently in storage, we hope everything will get resolved by the end of this week. Fingers crossed.
Jumping for joy…
Now, onto the good news! With great joy, I hope to have the opportunity to meet you on November 8th for a very special night. I’m so happy to be partnering with Diane von Furstenberg for an evening benefiting CASA. I had a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) while in foster care, so this event hits home. To be honest with you, when DVF asked me to host this event I was overwhelmed with emotions. I’ve written about my foster care experience a few times on this blog, but to be in the physcial presence of an organization that I’m extremely familiar with was a walk down memory lane that I wasn’t sure I was ready for. I spent a lot of time thinking about it, and gradually, my apprehension turned into appreciation. I’m forever indebted to the compassionate individuals who helped me through the system. And this appreciation evolved into excitement. I can’t wait for Thursday and if you have time, please join me.
