When I think about London, I instantly think about red telephone boxes, cobblestone streets, and brick walls. It takes me to a place where the architecture is beautiful and the energy is fast-paced. Since the city is so lively, little quiet places like bookstores were great escapes to get away from the busily city life. I wanted to capture a little bit of London in LA and the idea of a little bookstore became the perfect backdrop for this editorial.
The Mulberry Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is full of soft hues, luxurious textures, and delicate prints. One of my favorite bags from their collection is the Cara Delevingne bag. It’s a three-way bag that can be worn hand-held, on the back, and as a shoulder bag. Inspired by the bookstore theme, each style is broken down into ‘Chapters’.
Chapter 1 :: Hand-held
With this coat and dress, I can imagine walking briskly down London streets with the crisp and cold autumn air brushing against my skin. I love how the softness of the rose color is complimented by the cool tones of the bag.
Chapter 2 :: A Backpack
Versatile and practical, this bag can be worn on the back. Travel-friendly to move with the drumbeats of our lives.
Chapter 3 :: A Shoulder Bag
Continuing the rose and blue theme, I adore the texture play between the soft textured coat and quilted bag. I usually default to wearing neutral colors during the fall and winter, so these blue hues are perfect accents to liven up my winter wardrobe.
When I was a little girl, I remembered reading magazines and admiring Mulberry’s editorial images. Fast forward to now, I feel incredibly honored and humbled to be collaborating with Mulberry. Shooting these images was truly a dream come true. Thank you for being on this journey with me and thank you so much for reading. And special thanks to Mulberry!
