Happy Monday everyone!  A beige tonal look today.  I’m actually a huge fan of tonal dressing, and one of my favorite colorways is nude.  This is my favorite kind of nude.  You guessed it… head to toe in knit and structure.  What I love most about tonal looks, and more specifically, an all beige look is that it serves as a blank canvas.  Crisp and fresh, it’s a blank canvas to start anew.

And speaking of starting anew… as one chapter closes, another one opens.  I remember being introduced to Biossance back in November of 2015 (which I have to say is more stable and longer than some of the romantic relationships!) and from that moment I’ve been a fan.  Over a year later, I still use their face oil every morning and night.  It’s actually the only serum I use.  Biossance holds a very special place in my heart.  We’re both from Berkeley, and true to the motto, Fiat Lux”, we believe that change illuminates the pathways toward advancement.  And I’m so happy to be a part of Biossance’s journey!

New chapter, new design!  Left (I consider it a vintage collector’s item now!) is the old Biossance bottle, right is the new design.  Same formula, new look.  I really appreciate that the new design states exactly what’s in the bottle.  And the more I learn about squalane, the more I can’t stop talking about it.

Squalane is a light oil made up of natural lipids found within our skin to help keep the skin supple by reducing water loss from the epidermis.  As we reach our late 20’s, our natural production of squalane significantly decreases, thus it is believed that this decline is partly responsible for the aging process.  The benefits of applying squalane to our skin is quite long.  Most notably, this oil rapidly penetrates the skin’s tissues, and once absorbed, it helps boost cellular regeneration and heals dry skin.

Additionally, squalane is a great transport agent that helps the skin absorb other ingredients.  This Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil contains a mighty army of key ingredients.  The Vitamin C helps protect against free radical damage, the Chios crystal oil boosts collagen production, and the rose extract soothes the senses.  They all work in harmony to improve skin tone and texture, and to increase skin radiance.  As you can see, I get really excited talking about squalane!

I’m really enjoying the latest addition to the Biossance line!  While I still use the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil on my face and the Biossance 100% Squalane Oil on my body and hair, I’ve added the Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel to my routine.  It deeply moisturizes the under eye and I’ve noticed a reduction in puffiness.  Honestly, I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now and so far so great.  But I want to give it a little more time before I share my thoughts on it with you.  Expect an essay on it soon =)

I was so excited when I saw the new design.  Biossance and I did a Skype call a few months ago and when they showed me the new outer cartons and individual product outfits, I couldn’t contain myself.  I was wide-eyed and had an odd stare on my face as though I just saw a dozen kittens.  Just like their inner beauty, their outer beauty is beyond words.  The forest green bottles are so classy and beautiful!  And they’re actually available now in-store and online at Sephora!

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!  And to Biossance – congratulations on the new design and the launch at Sephora!  Even though the outer appearance has changed, thank you for remaining true to your core values by using biotechnology not only to advance skincare products, but to also aid in the eradication of malaria (for every product sold on Biossance.com, $1 is donated to help eradicate malaria).

Thank you so much for reading!
