Happy Wednesday everyone! Dedicating this post to autumn with a dressy look in topaz velvet.
Tailored with a nipped-in waist and sculpted hips to create an hourglass silhouette, this plaid coat embodies the essence of fall with colors of red, blue, and black. The wide lapels and double-breasted shape give it a cool borrowed-from-the-boys feel while the long length is great for pairing with dresses and denim (love pairing this coat with boyfriend jeans). Back from Scotland and heading to date night, I wanted to add a stronger autumn vibe to the coat. Coupling it with a topaz tiered velvet dress, I love that the deep gold color plays harmoniously with the shades of red and blue, creating a full rich autumn color story. Also with this dress, I actually chopped off the first tier to create a mini length and added a hidden zipper function so in case I’m in the mood for a midi length, I can add that layer back on the dress. Essentially, two dresses in one :)
I hope you enjoy the styling and thank you so much for reading! And special thanks to Barneys New York (receive a $350 gift card for every $2,000 on women’s ready-to-wear, jewelry, accessories, or shoes) and Shopstyle for partnering on this post!
