Happy Wednesday everyone! This is our last post from Vietnam and I’m keeping it casual and comfy in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Reflecting back on the trip, one of my favorite moments was visiting Northern Vietnam. I’ve never traveled north before, and now can’t imagine going to Vietnam without a visit up north.  My favorite part was Ninh Binh.  Even though Colin and I got sick during that part of the trip, we were blown away by Ninh Binh.  We couldn’t keep anything down, so ended up not eating anything in Ninh Binh.  My biggest regrets to this day are 1.) not trying the local favorite which is burnt rice with goat, and 2.) not making it to the top of Mua Caves!  Urgh!  I can’t stop thinking about it!

This blog post, Another World in Ninh Binh, almost didn’t happen.  We were both not feeling well, but decided to climb up Mua Caves anyways.  We only made it 3/4 of the way up!  So close yet so far away.  It was not the climb that got to us, it was the heat!  Colin and I were talking on the way back home, and we both agree that being super cold was way better than burning up.

Our Iceland post, Iceland Black Beach, was painful.  The snow, the wind, the ice cold weather with the dress.  Freezing.  But Ninh Binh was unbearable!  My butt was on fire in all of the sitting shots in the blog post!  We both had intense headaches and got nauseous after being up there for 15 minutes.  I couldn’t take another step.  And that’s extremely rare for me.  I usually can push through in most situations, but Ninh Binh was something else.  I want to go back just so I can conquer Mua Caves!

Now back to much more temperature comfortable Hanoi!  We spent the last day wandering around the alleyways, stopping by cafes, and taking in all of Hanoi before leaving.  Cool and comfy in my Storets ruffle top and LOQ leather gladiator sandals while carrying my life in my Senreve bag =)

I hope you enjoy all of our Vietnam posts!  Saigon, Sapa, Ninh Binh, Hanoi… they’re all such beautiful places to add to your next travel destination.  I’m in the process of writing a Northern Vietnam itinerary, just in case you’re interested in going to Vietnam for a few days.  Stay tuned and I’ll have that up soon!

Hope you’re having a great week so far and thank you so much for reading!
