The return of color-blocking!
I picked up this blue blazer at Zara a few days ago. Funny thing… I actually tried on this jacket on three different occasions and finally decided to purchase it with the help of my enabler girlfriends =)
My trusty MT bag and my new-to-me pumps! I saw these pumps on Ebay months ago and was outbid by another buyer. Khatu and I joked that we probably bid against each other that time without knowing it. Months later, another pair popped up on Ebay and she came home with me this time =)
GOOD NEWS… I finally found a juvenile justice organization that matched my requirements! The organization offers long-term volunteering opportunities and works directly with incarcerated youths in Los Angeles County. Check and check! I called and spoke with the program directors a few days ago, and they were incredibly kind and welcoming on the phone. Just from the phone conversation, I can tell that they truly care about the youths they’re supporting. I have a scheduled orientation next month. Volunteering at organizations that provide direct service to incarcerated youths require an immense amount of training and loads of paperwork, so realistically, I hope to start in September. I’m super excited and can’t wait for the orientation!
Thank you so much for being on this journey with me! Your words of encouragement have truly been my pillar of support. Thank you!
