Happy Friday everyone!
I’ve always been intrigued with drop-waist silhouettes, but haven’t found a dress that I adored till this one. The color is vibrant, the knit is medium weight, the skirt is well balanced against the boxy frame, and best of all, it has pockets. Yes, pockets. And surprisingly, it’s rather versatile. For this outfit, I’m wearing a belt to create the look of a trumpet skirt. I can’t wait to re-style it and wear it as a drop-waist dress, or put a sweater over it and pair it with tights for cooler months.
I turned one year wiser on August 28th, and to be honest with you, I never thought I would live this long. When I was younger, I had various people tell me on separate occasions that I was going to die young. Being in foster care and going through a lot of family dysfunction, I felt like what they said was true. It was a very dark time of my life, but it shaped me to be who I am today which I’m forever grateful for. I think the reason why I have a positive outlook on life is because I treasure each moment and day as if it was my last. And more importantly, I treasure relationships. I’m constantly thankful for my incredible friends, my dear brother, and my sweet boyfriend. Even though we haven’t met (or not yet =), I greatly appreciate for your time and support. Thank you for being on this journey with me. Words can not describe how grateful I am. Thank you.
