Happy Friday everyone!
Unlike last year when pastels were the highlight of spring and summer trends, this year the colors are more muted. So muted that in fact one of the trends of spring/summer 2013 is about the absence of color, and more specifically, monochromatic arrangements. From Marc Jacobs to Balenciaga to Celine, the presence of black and white danced gracefully down the runway. And the beauty of this trend is that it’s so easy to recreate at home. To celebrate the monochromatic theme, I pulled out my dark striped blazer and paired it with cropped pants, a bow blouse, and degradé pumps.
