Happy Wednesday everyone! Another beautiful day in the city! Sun’s out, iced coffee in hand, and a dewy glow courtesy of NYC humidity =)
Ahhh one of my favorite spots – Jane’s Carousel! We had a production meeting in Brooklyn and I couldn’t resist stopping by this spot. We grabbed coffee at One Girl Cookies (which is right by the carousel) and made our way to the painted horses. I love people watching here! Everyone gets so excited when they see the carousel!
I love ruffles and I love high neck designs. Them together is the perfect combo. This Lost Ink ruffle blouse, in my humble opinion, is beyond words. Best of both worlds, actually best of three worlds. Ruffles, high neck designs, and… polka dots! It has the essence of Victorian-inspired spring! And as you can see, I prefer shorts over skirts. I do appreciate a great skirt, but overall, I reach for my shorts more. When it comes to wearing or styling shorts, I love pairing them with long sleeve tops. I don’t know why really. I think it’s the contrast it creates. A lot of legs but covered arms (as seen here and again here & here). To me, this combo makes short shorts feel chic and modern.
The carousel against the Brooklyn Bridge *heart eyes emoji*! It’s serene and so beautiful here. I hope you’re having a great week so far and thank you so much for reading!
