Happy Monday everyone! Bringing you a little cherry blossom heaven today!!!
When we went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden last year (as seen in this blog post), it was much later in the season so most of the cherry blossoms already fell. This year, it’s a different story! We caught it at full bloom and it was magnificent! Clouds of pink above and walkways of blossoms below. Breathtaking and beautiful, it felt like a fairytale come to life!
I couldn’t imagine a better pairing with the cherry blossoms than tulle! Tulle is actually one of this season’s runway darlings. And to be honest, when is tulle not a favorite? I love vibrant tulle for spring and dark tulle for fall (as seen in this blog post with a black tulle skirt). For this season, a few beautiful details were added to the ever favorite tulle trend. Shimmery sequins, delicate ruffles, floral motifs… all play together to uplift the romantic tulle. This Needle & Thread yellow tulle dress has all of the ingredients of springtime love. Feathery tulle delicately placed to contour our frame paired with a floor-skimming hemline, this dress is stunning in person (and it photographs beautifully!).
Hope you had a great weekend and great May 13th! To all those with mothers, foster mothers, mother-figures, who don’t have mothers, who are mothers, who are cat or dog mothers, who have mothers watching them from above… from my heart to yours, happy Mother’s Day.
I’m so grateful that you’re here, and as always, thank you so much for reading!
