San Francisco holds a very special place in my heart.  Growing up in foster care, I never really considered any place my home.   San Francisco and the Bay Area welcomed me with open arms when I came up here for college.  I’ve met the most incredible people here – friends who I call family.

Josie, Tina, Meeke, and Lil – I’m going to miss all of our girls’ dinner so much!  From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your support, love, and protection.

Without David, this blog would not be the way it is.  He’s fun and overall amazing to work with.  Recapturing the spirit of San Francisco with David’s beautiful photos:

David, I’m going to miss you so much!  Thank you so much for all of your hard work, patience, adventurous nature, and support!  You are unbelievably talented, and one day, I will get the honor of saying, “The famous David Kim shot my blog photos.”

Mystery Man and I are moving to Chicago tomorrow.   Embarking on a new journey, we’re very excited but at the same time, it’s bittersweet.   My close friends are my family and just the thought of not being near them is very painful.  In the last couple of days as I was putting my things into boxes, I realized how blessed I am.   It was not too long ago when all of my belongings fit into a small trash bag as I moved from group homes to foster homes.   And now with all of my things packed neatly into boxes, I felt an overwhelming feeling from the pit of my stomach to my heart.  It was as though my ribcage can not contain the swelling of my heart as it’s about to burst.  Feelings of fear, anxiety, joy, excitement, appreciation, and gratitude made it hard for me to breathe.   Cyn, Dan, David, Josie, Lily, Linda, Meek, and last but not least, Tina – I love all of you so much!

Thank you so much for reading!
