Happy Lunar New Year everyone!

To celebrate this occasion, I’m wearing red today.  This is the only red sweater I own, and thanks to Jean for picking it up for me at an incredible discounted price.  Without her, I’d be red-less today.  It’s customary to wear red on Lunar New Year, because it welcomes good luck.  Just in case you’re reading this before heading to work or school, make sure to wear something red this morning =)  If you’re already at work or school and don’t have any red on, I believe treating yourself to a bouquet of red roses or flowers (and perhaps even attaching one to your lapel) would also attract prosperity.  Among the many things to do and not to do (such as not washing our hair because it will flush away good fortune and eating uncut noodles to represent long life) on Lunar New Year, I think this one is essential… Whatever happens today is an indication of what’s to come everyday in this upcoming year, so it’s especially important to surround ourselves with good company, support, and joy.  I think this should be applied to everyday in life, not just Lunar New Year =)

Chúc mừng năm mới!  新年快樂  Wishing you a prosperous, healthy, and happy year as we celebrate the year of the Dragon!

Thank you so much for reading!
