Hi everyone!  Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last blog post!  I’m so happy to hear that you liked the styling. I got an overwhelming amount of requests for the direct link to the dress and spent the last few days combing Forever 21‘s dress selection.  Forever 21 rotates through their inventory so quickly that I don’t see this dress anymore.  On my receipt, the name of it is “Asymmetrical Dress” with product number 2002930452012.  I’ll keep on searching and if it shows up again, I’ll make sure to mention it. It’s rare for me to find gems at Forever 21, but when I do, I’m overjoyed.  One of my favorite sweaters is from them and I wear it constantly.

These pants are so cool.  The End =)

Since they are the centerpiece of the outfit, I wanted to pair them with a simple shirt and nude pumps.  This colorway is so beautiful and it compliments well with grays, burgundies, browns, and blacks.

Are you ready for some good… actually great news?!  Do you remember back in November, I mentioned Dr. Laura in my ‘Vision‘ post?  Dr. Laura wrote to me a couple of months ago and expressed her desire to help the non-profit organization that I’m involved with.  She wanted to offer a very special gift… the gift of sight to our youths.  After weeks of planning, Dr. Laura brought her equipment and conducted free eye exams at our office.  The program that I’m involved with is called InsideOUT Writers.  The main focus of the organization is to provide support to currently and formerly incarcerated youths in Los Angeles county.  I have deep admiration for our youths.  There is a light that shines within each one of them that is so bright.  It is a spark of hope, determination, hard work, and gratitude.  One of our youths has very poor eye sight.  To him, the world is a big blurry sphere.  He navigates his way to work and performs daily tasks by memory.  Most (if not all) of our youths do not have medical and/or vision coverage, so Dr. Laura’s generosity is incredibly appreciated.  She not only gave free eye exams, she also provided glasses and advance screenings for our youths.

I never ever thought having a fashion blog would give me the honor of crossing paths with so many beautiful souls.  I’m so grateful for the organizations, brands, and individuals who are reaching out and wanting to help InsideOUT Writers.  We have another event planned for our youths in March and I can’t wait to share the details with you!
