Thank you so much for the get-well-soon messages!  We’re feeling better today than the last couple of days, but we still have that sexy frog in the throat voice =)

These photos were taken right before we left Las Vegas.  Wrapped in the comfort of my oversized knit cardigan coupled with a simple tank and shorts, I consider this the ultimate “Sunday Brunch” look.

MAGIC was a lot of fun!  The trade show was housed in two enormous convention centers.  MAGIC is a hub for new designers to seek out sourcing relationships and for existing brands to showcase their upcoming collections.  It is also the place where business owners can come and learn about new technology, online media, and fashion trends.  I had the absolute pleasure of speaking on the Teen Vogue panel about Spring & Fall treands and new media.  After the panel and throughout my time at MAGIC, I spoke with a handful of business owners, more specifically small boutique owners, who shared their frustration about the forever changing and rapid online media space.  There’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, blogs, and so much more.  I empathize with small business owners because they’re really a one-man-army, so keeping up with online media can be especially challenging.  I think the key is to select at most two online media platforms, study those particular online cultures, and dedicate time to developing a community on those platforms.

There were loads of fun activities at MAGIC.  My friend, Jenni from I Spy DIY, teaches us how to make chain bracelets.

Right after the Bloglovin’ Awards, Mystery Man and I went to a little diner across our hotel to grab a quick bite.  As we left the diner, I ran across the street (note to self – never run, just walk!) in an attempt to make it before the street traffic light turned, and heard a little noise behind me.  And sadly, it was my phone yelping in pain.  It kissed the concrete at a perfect angle causing the front glass to shatter.  It’s still functional, but I had to keep it inside a plastic bag so that there’s a way to collect broken glass pieces as it falls off the phone.  If reading wasn’t so difficult, I wouldn’t mind vacuum sealing my phone and calling it a day!

:: New York ::

New York was amazing!  And I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of the IFB conference.  After the panel, one of the common questions I received was how can a young blogger complete in the blogging space.  To be honest with you, I consider myself a new blogger as well and am still trying to figure out how to navigate the fashion blogging world.  In my humble opinion, there are a few best practices that both Mystery Man and I hold strongly to that have proven successful – quality, consistency, and being true to who you are.  When these three components work harmoniously together, I find that the blog has a very strong point of view and voice.

While in New York, we dropped by Stella & Dot and saw beautiful pieces in their showroom.

Visited one of my favorite brands, AllSaints, and previewed their Spring & Fall collection.
