It feels as though with each passing year, the holidays are celebrated earlier and earlier. A few years ago, I don’t remember holiday lights going up until after Thanksgiving. But this year, some areas had lights and trees decorated right after Halloween. Seeing the city illuminated is one of my absolute favorite things. Every year I ask MM for the same Christmas gift… to walk around downtown with hot chocolate or tea on hand. It’s such a magical feeling!
Meet my new pet =) Since we’re not ready for a real pet, I’ll entertain myself with animal pins for now. I found this little buddy on eBay a few weeks ago and it went home with me for $13. With no scratches and in like-new condition, this shoulder pin has a great weight to it, clear deep emerald eyes, and a tail that folds inward. He inspired me to rework my off-the-shoulders tunic into a draped-neck wrapped sweater.
