Hi everyone!

In the last few days, I’ve been debating whether or not to write this.  I usually prefer keeping this blog light and fashion focused.  But lately, I can’t stop thinking about a particular issue, more specifically a particular person.  I try my best to turn to fashion for a temporary escape, to feel light, and to feel connected to her.  But there are moments of my day when the world feels heavy, and an uncontrollable paranoia makes me want to constantly call my brother to make sure he’s alive.  MM and I were supposed to have brunch with her that day, but instead we attended her funeral.  Our friend passed away recently and I can’t fully accept that she’s gone.  She moved to LA last year to pursue her dreams of becoming a designer.  Her favorite designer was Alexander McQueen.  She was such a beautiful, talented, and passionate person.  Her passing was a painful bittersweet reminder to live life with no regrets, to cherish memories, to appreciate friendships, to value kindness, to laugh loud and hearty, to embrace fashion as art, to chase dreams, and to love passionately.  These were values that she embraced and we are forever thankful that she shared them with us.

Thank you so much for reading.  Wishing you peace and happiness today and always.

 B. – Hope you’re doing well and enjoying brunch with McQueen.  We miss you.
