Lover :: Hearts blouse & Patent pencil skirt
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Inspired by Christopher Bailey’s Burberry Fall/Winter 2013 collection, I paired a mini heart print silk blouse with a patent leather pencil skirt today. Watching runway shows is really a transformative experience for me. It pushes me out of my comfort zone and encourages me to be experimental. Before the Burberry show, I had a hard time wrapping my head around wearing laminated skirts. Personally, I find that patent leather bottoms are rather difficult to wear, and when done wrong, can look ungraceful. But when he sent down glossy finishes in a pencil silhouette on the runway, I was a total fan. Searching high and low, I wanted to use a black and white palette with his ingredients and add touches of red (black, white, and red is one of my favorite combos!). This glossy panel skirt has just the right amount of patent leather to introduce me to the trend, and the heart silk blouse can play duo roles as polka dots from afar.
Whimsical hearts meet delightful lips =)
