Art of the Trench :: Leather trimmed jacket & Casual stripes
Happy Friday everyone!
The trench coat has become one of the most staple pieces in my wardrobe. From casual to dressing styling, it’s incredibly versatile and timeless. The classic trench is like a good cup of coffee in the morning. Dependable and strong. Like coffee, it’s the perfect boost to dreary mornings and perfect complement on brisk days.
Being a deep admirer of the trench, I always keep an eye out for interesting and thoughtful designs playing on the classic trench style. Sometimes I wonder, how many ways can you really cut something so familiar? And without fail, Christopher Bailey delivers. The beige color a little deeper, the wind flap extended to shoulder caplets, a dash of leather on the collar, and sleeves contoured at the elbow. Even with so many details added, the overall design still remains true to its trench roots and thoughtfully edited. For moments when I need a little Sherlock in my life, I turn to this jacket!
