Dreaming of Marrakech :: Trapeze dress & Stained glass clutch
Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re back home in Los Angeles and starting the week with some exciting news! A big thank you to Barneys for featuring us in their latest The Window story – Flights of Fancy! Along with travel tips, there is also a curated packing list for your next adventure!
This dress has such an ethereal feel that I wanted to complement it by exaggerating the cape-like back panel. I asked my dear friend, Vivian, to add two side slits so that I can wrap a belt over the front but under the back, so that the cape can fly and dance freely.
For today’s post, we wanted to create a photo-story that captures the essence of travel as a companion piece to Barney’s Flights of Fancy feature. With stunning structures in the background and a dress that dances with each step, I felt as though I was transported into another place. A place where my imagination would take me to see the ruins of the El Badi Palace, wander around the bazaars, hear melodies of another language, and taste local favors. Of the three destinations mentioned in the Barneys story (Saint-Tropez, Lake Como, and Marrakech), I was deeply attracted to Marrakech. I spent hours looking at images online and was hypnotized by the beautiful colors, bustling markets, and history of this beautiful city. The more I looked, the more I wished I was there. What is your dream travel destination? I’m truly curious. If you can go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Thank you so much for reading!
