Happy Monday everyone and welcome to my living loft!  Like the office, my loft also has an exposed brick theme and dark wood floors.  Because of the exposed brick walls, I wanted to create an industrial interior design concept.  With these beautiful pieces from High Fashion Home, I highlighted the industrial aspect with metal accents (the coffee table and TV console), and then soften it with lush items (the dome chair and bed/headboard).  Combining the two elements created an overall industrial elegant design theme throughout the loft.

Mission accomplished!  A birdcage chandelier.

I love incorporating books and boxes as decorative elements.

:: the main area ::

While maintaining the industrial theme, the connective issue that ties the three main area together is the theme of lush white – the white linen dome chair and thick rug in the living area, the white bed and pillows in the rest area, and the small rugs on the chairs, dinning table, and decorative wine jugs in the eating area.

Just like the office, exposed brick walls radiate a strong positive energy to me.  And I appreciate how this space is very much aligned with my fashion perspective.  This space is rich in textures… Leather (the sofa & trunk chest), wood (the bookshelf & dinning table), metal (the coffee table & media console), linen (the dome chair), and velvet (the bed).  I love playing with textures… Feathers, tulle, leather, lace, and so on.  This space is bright with large windows.  I’m a huge advocate of wearing pieces that bring sunshine and that are mood-enhancing.  The exposed brick and concrete add a masculine element to the space.  I love pieces that have juxtaposition.  The feminine with the masculine… A strong shoulder on a slim blazer, a jacket that has military details combined with ruffles, and so on.  And most importantly, this space inspires me.  And personally, I always want to surround myself with wearable art that truly inspires me.

I hope you enjoy the photography and home decor tour!  I’m planning a few DIY projects that I’ll share later.  They’re just a few fixes and items that’ll add a touch of industrial chic (and are also practical and functional) to your home and/or office.

As always, thank you so much for reading!
