Tropical Escape :: Summer outfit & Travel essentials

A tropical escape.  Surrounded by lush green and purple blooms, our stay in LA was short but quite meaningful.  Embracing the warm LA sun, I packed ruffles and light flowy pieces.  We’ve been traveling for the last 3 weeks and I somewhat mastered the less-is-more approach when it comes to travel essentials.  For example, this set can create multiple outfits – paired together as a faux jumpsuit look, worn apart with the top paired with high-rise shorts for a romantic summer look and the bottom coupled with a silk button-up for a city chic ensemble – thus, packing less and creating more.

But when it comes to my skin, unfortunately it’s not doing too well.  The change in climate, environmental stressors, and timezones took a toll on my skin.  In London, it felt congested.  In Paris, it was dry.  In LA, I broke out.  I make it a priority now to pack true skincare essentials when I travel.

Just wanted to share with you a few of my must-haves in the air and on land, away from home and everyday at home:

Erno Laszlo sensitive hydrogel masks – individually packaged, I use this whenever my skin feels irritated and/or in need of relief and soothing.  It’s extremely cooling and hydrating (and it smells amazing!).  When traveling, I usually use it right after I land for a refresh/reboot.  At home, I use it once a week.

SK-II facial treatment essence – an absolute game changer for my skin!  I’ve been using it everyday, twice a day, for the last three weeks now, and my skin loves it.  It’s soothing, hydrating, and skin texture-refining.

Biossance squalane + vitamin c rose oil – a true classic!  I’m very loyal to this face oil and have been using it for over a year now.  It’s extremely hydrating, and in my personal experience, it helped reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve firmness while enhancing suppleness.  I use it at home, away from home, and talk about it at other people’s homes!

Biossance squalane + probiotic gel moisturizer – a partner to the rose oil, I’ve been using this moisturizer for a few months now. It brightens my skin, helps reduce redness, combats dryness, and is very hydrating.

Erno Laszlo spf 30 firmarine moisturizer – I use this SPF moisturizer after applying the Biossance probiotic gel moisturizer during the day.  The texture is very rich and slightly on the heavy side, but it doesn’t make me break out.  I love the UV protection element of it, and find it very soothing and nourishing.

Happy Wednesday everyone and thank you so much for reading!
