Happy Friday everyone!  We’re doing something very special today.  If you have a moment, please stay with me for the entire post.

December calls for holiday cheer.  Vibrant colors together with classic black, I couldn’t resist but welcome this holiday month with a multicolor striped scarf and thick wool coat.  Splashes of red, green, blue, and yellow instantly lifts my spirits.  This colorful combination is perfect for the holidays, and what’s more is that this cheerful combination reminds me of childhood innocence.  It takes me back to the days of kindergarten with colorful ABC’s and 1,2,3’s all over the classroom.

For this holiday season, I’m extremely grateful to be partnering with L’Occitane in their support for UNICEF to help thousands of children around the world.  With each purchase of a Shea Butter Collection or Shea Butter Deluxe Collection gift set, L’Occitane will donate $4 from the purchase of each of these two gift sets, up to $120,000.  From delivering immunizations to administering health programs to providing pre-natal care, UNICEF is in the forefront to help keep children healthy.

This one is the Shea Butter Collection gift set.  It comes with a rich body cream, a beautiful hand cream, a nourishing foot cream, and a lush bar soap.  I love the body cream and always have the hand cream in my purse!  The other gift set, the Shea Butter Deluxe Collection, comes with seven items in a beautiful square box.

You know what’s so funny?  10 years ago, I applied for a job at UNICEF.  After quitting Wells Fargo the first time (I quit twice, will tell you about it another time), I applied to a handful of humanitarian organizations.  I sent out 68 cover letters and applications, and didn’t hear back from any of them.  But everything happens for a reason.  From this experience, I got involved in my local community and became very active in the fight for juvenile justice.  That’s how I ended up teaching inside a juvenile detention center.  Fast forward to now… 10 years later… I’m sitting here writing this post and talking to you.  Thank you for all of your kindness and support through the years.  On this blog post… if you click through and purchase the Shea Butter Collection or Shea Butter Deluxe Collection gift set, I will personally match L’Occitane’s $4 donation to UNICEF USA for the sale of each of these two gift sets (*please see fine print).

Cheers to the holidays, cheers to L’Occitane for their support of UNICEF, and cheers to UNICEF for always putting children first.  And UNICEF… if you’re reading this, I still want a job :)

Happy holidays everyone and thank you so much for reading!  And special thanks to L’Occitane for partnering on this post!
