Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you great joy, endless happiness, abundant amount of laugher, and pure love in 2018! Thank you for all of your support through the years. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I think it’s natural to reflect at the end of this year’s journey and to set goals for the new year. And now with social media, specifically with Instagram and Facebook, we get to hear everyone’s 2017 reflections and 2018 goals. In many ways, this is great. We can get inspired, feel motivated, and in turn, challenge our own goals and journeys.
But in some ways, I just think there’s something missing. For those battling darkness or had a tough year in 2017, please don’t feel discouraged when you come across posts that emphasize how great 2017 was for them. Hardship and struggles don’t end when the year ends. Please hang on and please stay strong. One of my favorite quotes by C.S. Lewis, “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” Your light and greatness are at the end of this (what it may seem like never ending) dark tunnel. Wishing you peace, strength, and love in 2018 and beyond.
