So the truth is… some days it’s a winter wonderland filled with smiles and coffee, and other days like this one, it’s absolutely miserable.  No amount of smiles can hide the fact that I can’t feel my face.  Am I even smiling or is my face frozen?  It’s so cold that even the camera is breathing hard.

I have four layers on top – a thermal, a shirt, a wool jacket, and a scarf – let’s just count the scarf too, and three layers on the bottom – wool tights, skinny jeans, socks, and thigh high boots – we’ll do the same for the boots.  And I’m still freezing.  I know I need gloves, but can’t seem to find gloves small enough to fit my hands.  If you know of any brands that make kid-size leather gloves for a small adult, please let me know!

After shooting this outfit, Colin and I made the mistake of going to an outdoor winter market.  Outdoors!  As we ran from stall to stall (not really caring what they’re selling at this point) to find warmth, we ended up doing the winter cold dance which is like a pee dance while rubbing our hands and covering our ears.  Overall, it was a winter wonderland indeed.  New York Winter: 1, Team Human: 0.

Now back to styling!  A mix of softness with toughness today.  Delicate ruffles mixed to military-inspired details.  I feel like I can conquer the world with this outfit!

Have a great weekend and thank you so much for reading!
