Happy Wednesday everyone! First and foremost, thank you for the recommendations! With your wonderful suggestions, we visited a few places. My favorite was the Distillery District! The architecture is so charming! It started to rain when we were there so we couldn’t stay long. But it’s definitely a place we would like to revisit the next time we’re in Toronto!
It’s a little gloomy here, but instead of fighting the gloom I really wanted to embrace it by playing with a gray palette. With such a neutral look, I love wearing textures and patterns with the main pieces and anchoring the outfit with accessories that have different shades of gray.
I wore this outfit to the Joe Fresh kickoff event for World MasterCard Fashion Week (more pictures here with confetti cannons and all!) and spotted two other women wearing the same dress. I love seeing twinsies! I feel it gives off a sense of camaraderie (maybe same outfits remind me of a bridal shower) and I love seeing how others style the same item. I also had the pleasure of meeting a few readers at the event! Everyone was so kind! The late Oscar de la Renta shared that he admired two qualities in women most – confidence and kindness. I couldn’t agree more. In this modern world that includes social media, I think kindness is even more important. I always feel so blessed when I meet a kind soul. From the Joe Fresh team to the readers who I had the pleasure of meeting to the designers and guests who attended the event, this sense of kindness radiated throughout the night. And the night wrapped up beautifully with a short documentary that showcased the history and accomplishments of Toronto Fashion Week.
Thank you so much for reading and a very special thanks to Joe Fresh for giving my brother and I the opportunity to visit Toronto! Even though our stay was short, we loved every minute of it!
