Happy Monday everyone! Sharing two outfits today inspired by a very small canvas =) The itty-bitty space on our hands can make a large impact. One of my top indulges is freshly painted nails (room service in pajamas is a close second!) and although I tend to gravitate towards red, beige, and dark burgundy colors, I’m trying something new today. Nail art! As a nail art newbie, I wanted to immerse myself into the world of nail art by playing with sharp graphic designs and autumn colors from the Essie ‘Tokyo’ Fall collection.
I love the idea of negative space! Adding final touches to this monochromatic outfit, I paired one of my favorite color combinations gray and pink together. Painting faux negative space lines with the ‘Go Go Geisha’ antique pink polish over the ‘Now and Zen’ sage gray color, I love how clean, graceful, and understated this nail art is!
:: Autumn Edge ::
Switching from soft muted colors to striking rich autumn hues, I wanted to add some edge to the orange + plum + crimson berry color combo by pairing it with a cropped leather jacket and military-inspired boots.
Strong and visually punctuated, this graphic nail art design combines the ‘Playing Koi’ orange rust color with the ‘Kimono-over’ damson plum hue. Creating soft diagonals and then outlining the edges, this plum and orange pairing covers four nails, leaving an accent nail to inverse the color placement and switching the orange to crimson berry. This bold nail art design paints the perfect mood for fall.
I hope you enjoy these two looks and the nail art. For more nail art designs and inspirations, drop by Essie’s Nail Art page! I can’t get enough of this elegant burgundy one, and love this gray matte design!
Hope you had a great weekend and thank you so much for reading! And special thanks to Essie for partnering on this post!
