What I love most about fashion is that it gives us permission to be fearless and experimental. To once in a while, or all the time, push us out of our comfort zone. Inspired by runway looks, I’ve always wanted to try the what I call Inside Out look… Pairing light-coverage skirts with full-coverage briefs. This runway trend emphasizes femininity while embracing the strength and delicacy of being a woman. It’s delicate yet daring, soft yet strong. And personally, I love how this look mixes strong lines with soft romantic elements. Sharp outlines from high-cut briefs with layers of tulle and ruffles.
With the sheer element on the bottom, I wanted to create a balanced counterpart on top by pairing it with a soft t-shirt and denim jacket for a causal touch and with a high-neck velvet top and fuchsia lips for a statement look. To be honest with you, the key to pulling this runway style off gracefully is feeling comfortable and confident. Fashion-warrior- meets-boldly- unconventional-girl type of feeling. And the root of it is dressing from the inside out and choosing a strong cover-up that makes us feel safe and empowered.
I hope you enjoy the styling and thank you so much for reading! Special thanks to Hanes for partnering on this post and for giving me the opportunity to join the Comfydent (comfortable meets confident) movement!
