Happy Friday everyone! A different type of office day for me now than it was when I was at my corporate job. I definitely couldn’t wear this back then, especially the sheer components. But a wool coat + blazer + tailored pants pairing is always a winning combo… Swapping out the sheer turtleneck for a crisp button-up (love this fitted H&M shirt for $20) and platform heels for classic pumps (like these highly rated Sam Edelman pumps), a creative field office day outfit turns into a sleek traditional office look.
I didn’t plan it but my hair ended up matching the ribbon on my blazer. I actually tried something new a few days ago and love love the results! Usually I take showers in the morning (wash my hair once every two or three days) and finish by blowdrying and curling my hair.
The other day, I took a shower at night, wrapped my hair with an Aquis hair towel turban (highly highly recommend this!), went on finishing up work, and went to sleep. No blowdrying, no styling. And I woke up with super volume! No frizz, just sleek hair with a lot of volume. It was crazy. I had to keep on brushing it down! Not only that, my curls turned out more of a water-wave style, as seen in this post. Anyways, I’m a huge fan of the tousled-volume-bedhead-relaxed-curls look (the best example of this is Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde!). I’m going to repeat what I did that night to see if I can achieve the same volume hair results. Will update you soon!
Have a great weekend and thank you so much for reading!
