Summer love with summer colors that get me excited for fall! Burgundy with gold, one of my favorite color combinations!
Regardless of season, I love a great blazer. The always classic black, the crisp fresh white, and the menswear-inspired pinstripe blazer, all so chic and timeless. For summer and fall, I love injecting a dose of color to this classic piece. Burgundy! It’s such a great color that transitions well from now to autumn!
This Topshop blazer is actually part of the Nordstrom Sale. Under $60, it has a slouchy fit but can be belted for a fitted look. This oxblood piece is beautiful over a dress, perfect for the weekends unbuttoned with distressed denim shorts, and great for the office buttoned with a pencil skirt or tailored pants. It’s such a versatile piece!
The Nordstrom Sale ends this Sunday 8/5, and below are a few items I picked up from the sale (including the two art canvas pieces!). From pretty sweaters to cool aviator jackets to bows and lace, I also included my all time favorites as well.

I tried these pieces on at home, because it’s way too hot to take them out right now. But just wearing them around the apartment got me excited for fall. Especially the Frame ruffle one-shoulder sweater (and those distressed jeans are $36!). I just love how effortlessly chic it is! And the striped duster is also a great option for late summer and fall. It works well with boots and also with sneakers.
It’s almost jacket weather and a beautiful saturated suede jacket is a must-have for late summer and fall! This ruby one is a stand out piece against a simple tee and shorts and also is a great companion to a little black dress. For a sweet fun piece, this bow blouse is one of my favorites from the sale. As you probably know by now, I love creating contrast with feminine pieces. The sweetness of the bow paired with tough combat boots, I love this combination for summer nights and autumn days.
I hope you enjoy this post and the sale picks! I’m super excited for fall, but don’t want summer to end (yet). Hope you’re having a great week so far and thank you so much for reading!Yours, Wendy
