Mini and large prints, all anchored by shades of caramel today.
What inspired this outfit? Warm drinks. Yummm… Salted caramel coffee, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice latte, brown sugar boba tea… all of the things I mumble in my head when walking down NYC streets in this cold weather.
I love playing with prints, especially combining multiple prints. When done with the same color family, it creates such a harmonious look. It blends together effortlessly and doesn’t feel ‘too much’.
The main hero of this shades-of-drinks look is this gabardine trench coat. It’s thick, wind-resistant, and super easy to style! I love the oversized shape (easy to wear thick sweatshirts or sweaters under), exaggerated fluted cuffs, tartan pattern, and hints of aqua blue throughout. It makes casual outfits with blue jeans and booties instantly chic, night out looks with a black sweater dress and over-the-knee boots so sharp, and travel outfits with a comfy sweater and sneakers so much fun.
Hope you’re having a great week so far! Thank you so much for reading!
